At Rapid Fingerprint, we strive to complete every fingerprinting appointment accurately, efficiently, and with minimal wait time. Processing times vary depending on the type of fingerprinting service requested, the reviewing agency, and the government department
responsible for processing your background check.

Electronic fingerprints are generally transmitted after your appointment has been completed and payment has been processed.
Please note that submission does not mean your background check has been completed or approved. Once fingerprints have been submitted, processing is handled by the appropriate government
agency. Rapid Fingerprint does not control review times or approval decisions.
Background check processing times vary based on the requesting agency and the type of
screening being performed.
Many electronic background checks are completed within 24 to 72 hours, while others may
require several business days or longer.
Processing times may be affected by:
● High submission volume
● Incomplete or inaccurate information
● Criminal history record review
● Agency system maintenance
● Additional identity verification
● Federal, state, or local government processing delays
● Requests for additional documentation
All processing time estimates are approximate and cannot be guaranteed.
Fingerprint submissions for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), the Federal
Bureau of Investigation (FBI), licensing boards, employers, and other authorized agencies are
reviewed by those organizations—not by Rapid Fingerprint.
Rapid Fingerprint is responsible for capturing and submitting your fingerprints accurately but
does not:
● Approve or deny applications
● Determine eligibility for employment or licensing
● Control when background check results are released
In most cases, background check results are sent directly to the requesting employer,
licensing board, or government agency. Rapid Fingerprint typically does not receive or have
access to those results.
FD-258 ink fingerprint cards are generally completed during your scheduled appointment.
Unless mailing services have been specifically requested, clients are responsible for mailing or
delivering completed fingerprint cards to the requesting agency.
Please remember that shipping time and agency review time are separate from your
fingerprinting appointment and will vary depending on the delivery method and the receiving
organization.
